Weatherford, OK – Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) has been recognized for its Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Administration as the 2026 Best Online Colleges Program in Oklahoma by Research.com, a national higher education research and ranking organization.

The recognition is part of Research.com’s “2026 Best Colleges Programs Ranking in Oklahoma,” which evaluates institutions using publicly available data and a data-driven review process led by a team of data scientists. The award reflects performance across multiple metrics related to educational quality, program outcomes, and student satisfaction.

According to Research.com, the selection followed a detailed analysis of data from several national sources, including the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), Peterson’s Database, the College Scorecard, and the National Center for Education Statistics. The organization noted that the process is designed to help prospective students make informed decisions by highlighting institutions that demonstrate strong performance in measurable areas tied to student success.

In its recognition, Research.com referenced SWOSU’s 18-month master’s program focused on education and educational leadership. The program is a nationally accredited, 33-hour leadership program that culminates in a full semester, 120-hour internship. It is designed for educators seeking the knowledge and skills needed to serve as principals, superintendents, and other building or district-level leaders in Oklahoma schools.

SWOSU’s M.Ed. in Educational Administration is a nationally accredited, 33-hour graduate program for educators seeking leadership roles at the building or district level, including positions such as principal or superintendent. The program includes a full semester, 120-hour internship and offers flexible delivery options, including online, in-person, or a combination of both, allowing working professionals to continue their careers while completing the degree. Graduate faculty focus on evidence-based practices, collaboration, and preparing students to take on leadership responsibilities in schools and educational organizations.

In addition to the Educational Administration program, SWOSU offers a variety of online undergraduate and graduate programs that maintain the same academic standards, faculty access, and student support services available on campus.
