Beckham County, OK – An Elk City man is facing two felony counts of aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs after investigators allegedly recovered more than 13 pounds of methamphetamine from two storage units, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Beckham County District Court.
Jordan David Dixon, 36, has been charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs (methamphetamine). Court records show a district judge found probable cause for the charges and set bond at $500,000.
According to the affidavit, investigators had been conducting a narcotics investigation involving Dixon and obtained a court-authorized GPS tracking warrant for a vehicle he allegedly owned and drove. The affidavit states investigators observed a pattern of travel between two Elk City storage facilities followed by multiple short stops around the city. Investigators also obtained records showing Dixon was the sole renter of storage units at both facilities, according to the affidavit.
On June 18, investigators executed search warrants at two storage units.
The affidavit states approximately 12.8 pounds of suspected methamphetamine were recovered from one of the units. A field test allegedly indicated the substance was methamphetamine.
A second search warrant executed the same day at the second unit resulted in the seizure of approximately 480 grams of suspected methamphetamine, according to the affidavit. A field test also allegedly returned a positive result for methamphetamine.
The charges are allegations only. Dixon is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
