Oklahoma City, OK – Oklahoma House Speaker Pro Tempore Anthony Moore, R-Clinton, has been selected to serve on the Executive Committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures, giving western Oklahoma a voice within one of the nation’s leading organizations representing state lawmakers.

Moore began his first one-year term on the bipartisan committee during the NCSL Legislative Summit in Chicago at the end of July. His term will continue through the organization’s next legislative summit, scheduled for August 2027 in Atlanta.

The NCSL Executive Committee serves as the organization’s governing body and helps guide its work on behalf of state legislatures across the country. NCSL represents more than 7,300 state lawmakers and approximately 30,000 legislative staff members from all 50 states, U.S. commonwealths and territories.

Through the committee, Moore will help provide direction for NCSL while representing Oklahoma’s interests and perspective in national discussions involving state legislatures.

NCSL works to strengthen state legislatures, encourage the exchange of policy ideas among states and represent the interests of states within the federal system.

Moore’s appointment also provides additional representation for western Oklahoma in national discussions on issues affecting state governments across the country.

Executive Committee members serve one-year terms and may serve up to three terms.
