Washita County, OK – A collision involving a loose bull led to injuries early Thursday morning on State Highway 44 in Washita County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 5:42 a.m. on March 5 on State Highway 44 about four-tenths of a mile south of State Highway 152.

Troopers report that a southbound vehicle driven by Luada D. Williams, 68, of Foss, struck a black bull that was standing in the roadway. After the impact, the bull came to rest in the northbound lanes of the highway.

A second vehicle traveling northbound, driven by Elisha M. Robinson, 51, of Sentinel, then struck the bull as it lay in the roadway.

Robinson was reported injured, and two passengers in Robinson’s vehicle were also injured. Authorities indicated that seatbelts were not in use by all occupants in that vehicle.

No fatalities were reported.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol stated that next of kin notifications were made. The incident remains under investigation.
