Elk City Police Seek Man Wanted on Felony Warrants

Elk City, OK – The Elk City Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted on active felony warrants who was last seen in the Sayre area.

Police are searching for 53-year-old John Torres Diaz. Authorities describe Diaz as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and approximately 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

According to information released by the Elk City Police Department, Diaz is wanted on felony warrants for rape by instrumentation and child sexual abuse.

Police advise members of the public not to approach Diaz. Anyone who sees him should call 911 immediately.

Anyone with additional information regarding Diaz or his whereabouts is asked to contact the Elk City Police Department at 580-225-1212 or Detective Vanessa Doty.

The Elk City Police Department said Diaz was last known to be in the Sayre area.
