Caddo Co., OK – A fatal single-vehicle collision claimed the life of a 17-year-old El Reno male early Tuesday morning, June 10, 2025, in Caddo County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:57 a.m. near the intersection of US-281 and County Road 1120—approximately two miles north of Lookeba. A 2018 Dodge Charger, driven by 18-year-old Chiloh J. T. Whiteshirt of El Reno, left the roadway in a construction zone where the highway narrows to one lane.

Whiteshirt was flown to Baptist Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City, where he was admitted in fair condition with leg and arm injuries.

A 17-year-old male passenger, also from El Reno, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel. His name has not been released due to his age. He was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Troopers confirmed that seat belts were in use by the driver, but passenger usage is unknown. Road and weather conditions at the time were dry and clear.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
