Acclaimed Fantasy Author David R. Slayton to Keynote Annual Westview Festival

The Annual Westview Festival proudly announces that urban and epic fantasy author David R. Slayton will be the keynote speaker for this year’s event. The keynote address will occur on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at the SWOSU Hilltop Theatre (111 W Davis Ave, Weatherford, OK 73096). This special event is free and open to the public.

Slayton, best known for his critically acclaimed Adam Binder series, has captivated readers with his richly woven tales of magic, identity, and adventure. His work has been praised for its compelling characters and imaginative storytelling, making him a standout voice in modern fantasy fiction. His presence at the festival is a unique opportunity for attendees to hear insights into his creative process, influences, and the evolving landscape of speculative fiction.

The Westview Festival is an annual celebration of literature, storytelling, and creativity. This year’s event is sponsored by the SWOSU Language & Literature Department, the Western Plains Library System, and the Al Harris Library.
