Oklahoma cities have reported their December 2024 sales tax revenue figures, with mixed results compared to December 2023. While some cities saw a slight increase, others experienced a decline. The statewide total showed a modest increase of 0.29%.

Elk City reported a slight decline, bringing in $1,253,223.46 in December 2024 compared to $1,284,308.76 the previous year, a -2.42% decrease. Clinton showed a marginal gain, collecting $499,519.99, up from $493,988.62. Weatherford had an increase of 3.87%, with revenue reaching $1,072,110.42.

By comparision, Altus saw a decrease, with revenue dropping to $1,045,467.93 from $1,128,993.72 in December 2023, marking a -7.40% decline. Woodward experienced a small increase of 1.79%, reaching $1,155,843.26. Sayre and Mangum both saw declines of -1.63% and -15.04%, respectively.

Cordell saw growth with a 10.80% increase, bringing in $94,438.73 compared to $85,231.94 the previous year. However, Sayre was down 1.6% by bringing in $134,369.80, and Mangum saw a 15% decrease by bringing in $48,178.33.

Overall, Oklahoma’s city and county sales tax revenue reached $237,605,329.30 in December 2024, compared to $236,917,624.23 in December 2023. The modest 0.29% increase suggests a stable but slow-growing retail economy across the state.
