(ELK CITY, Okla.) — Luke Thomas of Elk City, Oklahoma, once again showcased his dedication and hard work at the 2025 National Western Stock Show Junior Livestock Auction, earning a second consecutive winning bid from Bluepeak for his prize-winning lamb on January 24, 2024. Luke’s achievement highlighted the commitment of young agricultural leaders to excellence, while Bluepeak’s participation in the youth event for a third consecutive year demonstrated the fiber internet company’s deep investment in the communities they serve.

Supporting these young exhibitors is more than just a purchase — it’s an investment in the future and the communities we serve,” said Mike Harry, Bluepeak’s Chief Business Development Officer and a dedicated member of the Western Stock Show Association and National Western Junior Sale Committee. “These students exemplify hard work, responsibility, and perseverance, and we are proud to be part of their journey.”

The National Western Stock Show, held annually in Denver, is one of the most prestigious livestock shows in the country, drawing exhibitors and buyers nationwide. The Junior Livestock Auction serves as a platform to recognize the dedication of young participants and provide them with financial support for future agricultural and educational endeavors.

A majority of the winning bid price goes directly to the junior exhibitors – 4-H and FFA youngsters ranging in age from 9 to 18 – while 10% of each bid price is donated to support the National Western Scholarship Trust which awards 110 scholarships annually, ranging from $2,500 to $15,000 per student, for youth studying agriculture, rural medicine, and veterinary science.
