Fatal Crash Claims One Life, Injures Another North of Arapaho

A tragic collision early Tuesday morning left one person dead and another injured on US-183 near E 860 Rd, approximately 13 miles north of Arapaho in Custer County.

The crash occurred at approximately 12:06 a.m. and involved a 2005 Honda Accord driven by 36-year-old Eric Soto of Guymon. Soto was pronounced dead at the scene by Sinor EMS personnel.

The other vehicle, a 2017 Chevrolet, was driven by 44-year-old Jessica W. Stewart of Elk City. Stewart sustained internal and leg injuries and was initially treated at Great Plains Regional Hospital in Elk City before being transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She is currently listed in fair condition.

The cause of the collision, along with the conditions of both drivers, remains under investigation. Authorities are working to determine the events leading up to this fatal crash.
