Cordell, OK – Residents of Washita County and surrounding communities will have an opportunity to meet with Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt during a public gathering on Friday, Aug. 14, at the historic Washita Theater in downtown Cordell.
The event will begin at 2:10 p.m. at the Washita Theater, 111 S. Market Street, Cordell. According to organizers, the governor will meet with local legislators, county officials, city leaders, and members of the public to discuss the future of southwest Oklahoma and hear from area residents.
The gathering is intended to provide an opportunity for conversations about issues affecting local communities and to strengthen collaboration between state and local leadership.
Guests attending the event will also be treated to a grazing station provided by Bean & Ladle, with organizers expressing special appreciation to the City of Cordell for its support.
The event is being presented as a collaborative effort between Great Plains Country and Travel Oklahoma, with support from the Cordell Chamber of Commerce.
Community members are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the opportunity to hear directly from Governor Stitt and local elected officials about the future of the region.
