Sentinel, OK – A 21-year-old Sentinel man was injured Tuesday night in a single-vehicle collision west of Sentinel, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:52 p.m. on State Highway 55 and County Road 2130, about one-half mile west of Sentinel in Washita County.
Troopers reported that Nicholas Rodriguez, 21, of Sentinel, was driving eastbound on SH-55 when his vehicle departed the roadway to the right and struck a barbed wire fence.
Rodriguez sustained injuries in the collision. The extent of his injuries was not immediately available. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, seat belts were not in use at the time of the crash.
Next of kin had been notified, and the collision remains under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
