SWOSU Dedicated Mogg Conference Room

Weatherford, OK – Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) has announced the dedication of the Jim & Freda Mogg Conference Room in the new Jerry & Margaret Hodge Center for Pharmacy & Rural Health at the institution’s main campus in Weatherford.

Jim and Freda Mogg of Hydro, Oklahoma, are longtime, dedicated supporters of SWOSU. The Mogg Conference Room recognizes their ongoing charitable support of the university's mission and work.

A 1971 SWOSU graduate who was inducted into the SWOSU Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame in 1999, James W. "Jim" Mogg served two terms as the 5th Chairman of the SWOSU Foundation, Inc. Board of Trustees. He served as Group Vice-President & Chief Development Officer and Advisor to the Chairman at Duke Energy Corporation. He previously sat on the corporate boards of ONEOK, HighPoint Resources, and Matrix Service Company.

Jim is a member of the SWOSU Presidential Order of Merit. The Moggs are Founder-level donors to the SWOSU Bulldog Angels Fund for SWOSU students in crisis.

The Mogg Conference Room is located within the Hodge Center, a $27 million, state-of-the-art facility dedicated in March 2026. The space is the new home to the SWOSU College of Pharmacy and the SWOSU Center for Rural Health.

The dedication of the Jim & Freda Mogg Conference Room reflects the impact that dedicated alumni and supporters have on the continued growth of Southwestern,” said SWOSU President Dr. Joel Kendall. “Their generosity helps ensure that this facility not only educates future healthcare professionals but also strengthens rural healthcare across our region.”
