Caddo County, OK – A single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Caddo County claimed the life of a 19-year-old Calumet man, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at approximately 2:35 a.m. on April 25 along Old U.S. 66, about 0.2 miles east of County Street 2510 and roughly 4.5 miles east of Hydro.

Troopers reported that the vehicle, driven by Langston Alan Pratt, 19, of Calumet, was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when the driver failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle left the roadway on the south side before the driver overcorrected, crossing back over the road and exiting on the north side.

Authorities say the vehicle then struck a tree and caught fire.

Pratt was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A passenger in the vehicle was injured in the crash. No additional details on the passenger’s condition were released.

Both occupants were reported to be wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. Next of kin has been notified.
