Clinton City Council Approves Hospital Sale, Sets Special Election for Voter Approval

During a special meeting of the Clinton City Council on Thursday night, a letter of intent from Rural Hospital Solutions (RHS) was approved, allowing RHS to begin managing Clinton Regional Hospital on Monday.

The Council also approved an ordinance authorizing the sale of the real property, personal property, equipment, and receivables of Clinton Regional Hospital to RHS for a purchase price of $6,000,000.

Concluding the meeting, the Council approved a resolution authorizing the calling and holding of a special election in the City of Clinton on January 14, where voters will decide on the sale's approval.
