Erick, OK – A stolen vehicle reported in Erick was recovered within hours thanks to quick work by the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Derek Manning, the vehicle and an attached trailer were reported stolen by an Erick resident late last week. Deputies took the report and immediately began working the case.

Just a few hours later, we recovered the vehicle in Erick,” Manning said, noting that it had only been moved a few blocks from its original location.

Investigators are still working to determine why the vehicle was taken and relocated so nearby. Sheriff Manning said there are a couple of possible explanations, but the case remains under investigation.
