Commissioners in Washita and Jackson counties have issued countywide burn bans as hot, dry and windy conditions continue to raise wildfire concerns across western and southwestern Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Broadband Office is set to officially launch a series of broadband expansion projects that will bring high-speed internet to 14 counties, with a special focus on underserved areas in western Oklahoma — including Custer, Jackson, Kiowa, Roger Mills, and Washita counties.
