HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYOFF QUARTERFINALS TONIGHT

The high school football playoffs return all across the great state of oklahoma tonight with quarterfinal action in all classes. In Class 4A we have a matchup worthy of a state champoinship game. A week after upsetting defending champion Blanchard, the Clinton Red Tornadoes hit the road to NE Oklahoma to face the Wagoner Bulldogs. Clinton comes in 9-2 while Wagoner's undefeated 11-0. Clinton and Wagoner have combined for 14 state championships since 2000. This will be the 5th meeting all time between these two powers, all have been playoff games. The Reds haven't won since the first meeting in the state title tilt back in 2005. Wagoner's won the last 3, 2 of which were also State championship games. Clinton/Wagoner kicks at 7.

In the Class A Division II quarters, the Thomas Terriers will welcome the Hominy Bucks to Ross Field for the first time. The Terriers come in 10-1, District 1 champs while the Bucks sport a 9-2 record as the district 4 runners-up. Kickoff time in Thomas is scheduled for 7.

The defending Class B state champs are at home tonight for the quarterfinals. The Seiling Wildcats are 10-1 and are hosting the 6-5 Cherokee Chiefs. Seiling's won 25 of their last 26 and are in search of the school's 4th football state championship. The Wildcats and Chiefs kick at 7.

HIGH SCHOOL HOOPS TONIGHT

Paragontv will be your home for tons of high school basketball action this evening. Sentinel's at AB, Canute hosts H-E, C-R heads to Arnett, Erick welcomes Granite, and the highway 34 rivalry's in Leedey with Hammon in town. All 5 are doubleheaders. Tune in on paragontv.com. OU AND OSU AT HOME THIS WEEKEND

This should've been an all timer of a college football weekend in Oklahoma. It's Sr day in both Stillwater and Norman. Oklahoma St's got one of their most hated rivals in town, the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Two of the most storied traditions in the sport meet in Norman with Alabama in town. Unfortunately the in state schools have struggled mightily this season. OSU's riding a 7 game conference losing streak and are in danger of finishing the conference slate winless. This rivalry put Mike Gundy and the Pokes on the map after the 2007 game in Stillwater.... Pokes/Red Raiders kicks at 2:30. In Norman the Alabama Crimson Tide roll in with dreams of the SEC title and college football playoff still fresh on their minds. Oklahoma has been relegated to the spoiler roll in their first season in the SEC that's led to a 5-5 record and in danger of missing a bowl game for the first time since 1998. JUNIOR GOLFERS QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS

The Under Armour Fall jr golf tour wrapped up this week, and there are a few local jr golfers that have qualified for the National Tournament. The tour encompasses youngsters from west central and southwest oklahoma, as well as some kids in the eastern Texas Panhandle. Claira Stafford from Elmer Ok qualified in the girls 12-14 division. Aluts's Mark Robinson and Hudson Pearce as well as Hammon's Landry Wynn will play in the boys 6-8 division. Gracemont's Shawn Hardin will complete in the boys 9-11 group. Keaton Finnell from here in Elk City, Braxton Barnett from Dill City, Oakley Blankenship from Canute, and John Shelton of Foss will all play in the boys 12-14 age group. Deacon Pickett from Lawton and Rhett Ballou of Elgin will play in the boys 15-18 division. The National Tournament will be held in Palm Beach Gardens, FL Feb 14th thru the 17th. Congratulations to all those junior golfers that qualified and also to those that competed throughout the fall on the under armour fall tour.
