FAST PICTCH REGIONAL
AND FAST PITCH SUPER REGIONAL RESULTS; FALL BASEBALL REGIONALS
Despite the wet conditions around the area we have had some
games played yesterday in fast pitch softball. Merritt’s Super Regional was
moved to Elk City due to the wet conditions. The Oilerettes won the first game
of the best of 3 series over Dibble 7-4. Adisyn Krueger, Jaeden Krueger, and
Kiptyn Dyer each had two hits apiece, including each going deep for the
Oilerettes. Adisyn Krueger went the distance in the circle giving up 4 runs on
8 hits while striking out 4 with 3 walks. In game 2 Merritt shutout Dibble 7-0
behind Adisyn Krueger’s complete game shutout. The Merritt Oilerettes are now
headed for the Class 2A Fast Pitch State Tournament for the first time in
school history. In Class A Regional action yesterday, Canute’s games were in Elk
City as well. The Trojanettes clipped Healdton 6-4 in their first game. Sayde
Allen hit a solo homerun for one of her 3 hits. Kynli Carlson, Paisley
Visneski, and Lily Woodson added two hit apiece for Canute. Navajo took down
Shattuck 4-0. That set up Canute and Navajo for a spot in the Regional
Championship game. The Trojanettes handled the Lady Indians 11-0. In another
Class A Regional that was played in Thomas, the defending state champion AB Lady
Indians breezed past Elmore City-Pernell 11-0. Kelsey Garibay and Madi Lockhart
had two hits apiece for AB. Lauren McHenry knocked in 4 and pitched all 4
shutout innings surrendering a couple hits with 6 strikeouts and a walk. The
nightcap featured AB taking on Davneport. The game was tied at 0 in the bottom
of the 9th when Racheal Sheppick walked Davenport off for a 1-0 AB win.
In class B Regional action yesterday, Hammon split a pair outslugging
Calumet 17-12, but falling to L-S 12-1.
The Elk City Elkettes at Lone Grove for 4A Regional action.
The Elkettes took down Bridge Creek in Game 1 11-1. They fell to undefeated
Lone Grove 11-0.
Weatherford’s playing their regional down in Plainview. The
Lady Eagles soared past Chickasha this afternoon 14-4. Unfortunately they lost
to Plainview 10-4 in the nightcap.
Clinton played at Newcastle. The Lady Reds fell to Cache
13-0, but bounced back to eliminate Ardmore 17-4.
There’s already been a bunch of games completed this morning
and afternoon. In Class 4A Elk City’s season ended with a 10-0 loss to Lone Grove.
The Elkettes finish up 18-16.
Clinton’s season also ended in with a 10-1 loss to Cache.
The Lady Reds finish 5-20.
Wford got a win to start the day, 14-2 against Chickasha.
That set up a Regional Final against Plainview. The Lady Eagles were eliminated
by the Lady Indians 10-1 today to finish 12-17
Woodward started their Regional Tournament at home today.
The Boomers hammered Anadarko 25-0. They await the winner of Byng and Perkins-Tryon
to punch their ticket into tomorrow’s Regional Final
We have a pair of teams that’ve punched their tickets into
next week’s Class A Fast Pitch State Tournament. Defending champion AB shutout
Davenport today 9-0 to head back to next week’s State Tournament. Peyton
Lambeth put AB up early with a 3 run blast. They’ll be joined by the Canute
Trojanettes who dispatched Navajo 18-8. Paisley Visniski had 4 hits and a pair
knocked in. Kenli Carlson knocked in 4 on 3 hits. Mackenzie Thompson had 3 hits
with 3 RBI.
In Class B action today, Leedey started their Regional with
a 25-2 dusting of Beaver. They’ll play Granite who defeated Arnett 11-7 for a
spot in tomorrow’s Regional Title game.
There were a couple of fall baseball Regional games that got
played yesterday. In Class B Hammon fell to Moss 10-1 yesterday. They bounced
back to eliminate Pittsburgh today 14-12, but their season ended at the hands
of Moss today 5-1. The Warriors finish the season 21-10.
Also in Class B yesterday Calumet won twice defeating Roff
13-3 and Vici 19-7. Vici had defeated Coleman 9-2 earlier yesterday. This
afternoon Vici’s trying to get back to the Regional championship game this
evening. They led Roff 6-3 in the bottom of the 5th inning.
