BECKHAM CO 4H EXCELS AT OYE

The Beckham Co 4H Shotgun Shooting Sports team took 6 teams to yesterday’s OYE Shooting Sports Finals in Guthrie, and it was an impressive showing from the 30 shooters. The Junior Team came home as the Grand Champion Overall Team which also included a Grand Championship in the Trap and Sporting Clays. The Junior Championship team members were Kruz Kilhoffer, Parker Lohberger, Katelynn Wood, Dakota Sharum, and Cooper Roberts. The Beckham Co Sr team came home as the Reserve Grand Champs in the Overall and the Trap. They placed 6^th in Sporting Clays. That team consisted of Dason Harman, Alexis Pletcher, Carter Rippetoe, Kase Kilhoffer, and Reed Tucker. The other two Junior teams placed 7^th and 10^th in Trap. The other two Senior teams shot 5^th and 8^th in the trap shoot. All 6 Beckham Co teams placed in the top 10 in their respective shoots. The Vici Senior team was the grand champion in sporting clays.

Individually for Beckham County’s Junior team, Kruz Kilhoffer is Junior Division overall Grand Champion All Around shooter. He was Grand champion in Sporting Clays and 3^rd in the 9^th grade trap shoot. Parker Lohberger is the Jr. Division Grand Champion trap shooter. He was the 8^th grade champion in the trap shoot. Katelynn Wood in the Jr. Division Reserve Grand Champion in the trap and the 9^th grade trap shoot champion. On the Sr side of things, Alexis Pletcher is the Bronze Medallion Sr. Division trap shooter and the Grand Champion in the 12^th grade trap shoot. Dason Harman came home in 3^rd place in the 12^th grade trap shoot. Jayden Acuna placed 7^th in that event. In the 11^th grade trap shoot, Kase Kilhoffer was 5^th, Carter Rippetoe 6^th, and Tyson Rosser was 8^th. In the Sophomore trap shoot, Tristan Pope placed 3^rd. Carter Egan and Reed Tucker tied for 7^th. For the Freshman Dakota Sharum was 5^th and Jaxton Beene placed 7^th. Zeke Harless was 4^th and Cullen Galmor 9^th in the 8^th grade shoot. For the 7^th graders, Zeb Harless shot 6^th and Jase Sharum 7^th.

On the Sporting Clays side of the shoot for the Sophomore group, Reed Tucker was 10^th and Kynsli Harman 12^th. Zeke Harless was 10^th in the 8^th grade division. For the 7^th graders, Zeb Harless was 6^th and Jase Sharum placed 8^th.
