Deputies seek Sayre man after motorcycle pursuit down riverbed

Sayre, OK — On Nov. 3, 2025, Beckham County deputies attempted to stop a blue motorcycle in Sayre for traffic violations. The driver refused to pull over and led deputies on a pursuit through town, then west of Sayre.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect turned into the Starvation Creek access to the river and tried to ride down the riverbed. The motorcycle wrecked, and the driver fled on foot.

Investigators identified the driver as Rodney Lee Kirk, 38, of Sayre. A felony arrest warrant has been issued for Kirk on complaints of Eluding a Police Officer and Reckless Driving.
