Public Relations and Marketing Team at SWOSU Earns Three Davey Awards

Weatherford, OK – The Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) Office of Public Relations and Marketing has won three honors in the 21st Annual Davey Awards, an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding work by in-house teams, small agencies, and independent creators. The competition is judged by members of the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), who evaluate entries for creativity, quality, and effectiveness in communication.

  • Silver Winner – The College Tour: Discovering SWOSU – Real Students, Real Stories, Real Impact

  • Category: General – Education

These awards highlight SWOSU’s commitment to authentic student storytelling and smart, scalable tools that help our campus communicate effectively,” said Acting SWOSU President Dr. Janet Cunningham. “I commend our Office of Public Relations and Marketing for creative work that stands out in an international competition and advances our mission to serve students and communities across Oklahoma.”

The Office of Public Relations and Marketing leads the university’s communications, digital strategy, and media relations. Its work supports SWOSU’s broader goal of connecting with students, alumni, and the public through meaningful, accessible storytelling and data-informed content planning.

The Davey Awards honor excellence across websites, design and print, video, advertising and marketing, mobile, social media, branded entertainment, emerging technology, and podcasts. Each year, the competition attracts entries from creative professionals around the world, including agencies, in-house teams, and independent creators. Submissions are judged against a standard of excellence by members of the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA). Best in Show honors are selected from among the Gold winners.
