Canute, OK — A Burns Flat man was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Friday on Route 66, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Jonathan C. McIntyre, 45, was driving west on Route 66 about 0.45 miles east of County Road 2090 at 4:37 a.m. when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a bridge railing with the front driver-side bumper. The vehicle then traveled along the railing for about 82 feet, spun, and came to rest facing east just off the roadway roughly 105 feet from the point of impact.

McIntyre was the only occupant. He was injured. OHP said he was not wearing a seat belt. Next of kin has been notified.

The crash was investigated by OHP Troop H.
