SWOSU Accepting 2026 Distinguished Alumni Nominations

Weatherford, OK – Nominations to the prestigious Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) are now being accepted.

Recognized as “SWOSU’s highest honor,” the Hall of Fame was established in 1976 by the university to recognize outstanding former students and to celebrate their achievements. There are 128 SWOSU graduates who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Information on the Hall of Fame and a nomination form are available online at Distinguished Alumni – SWOSU Foundation or nominations may be submitted by mail to:

In addition to completing the nomination form, nominators are encouraged to provide supporting items which further distinguish the nominee and assist in selection. Such items may include but are not limited to:

  • Current biography

  • Letters of support

  • Newspaper and magazine articles

  • Personal stories or other items of interest

Those SWOSU graduates who are selected for induction into the SWOSU Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame for 2026 will be honored at the SWOSU Convocation activities in May 2026.
