Elk City Police Searching for Indiana Suspect Believed to Be in Area

Elk City, OK – The Elk City Police Department is actively searching for Thomas McCoy, a suspect wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from the State of Indiana for child molestation. Authorities believe McCoy is currently in the Elk City area.

According to police, McCoy was captured on surveillance cameras using ATMs at both United Supermarket and Homeland between 10:40 and 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, October 5. Investigators say he was driving a silver 2004 Chevrolet 2500 4x4 pickup truck.

Police have released photos of McCoy and the vehicle, urging the public to stay alert and watch for the truck. The suspect is known to frequent campgrounds and may be attempting to hide in or near remote camping areas around Elk City.

Authorities are asking anyone who sees McCoy or his vehicle to call 911 immediately or contact the Elk City Police Department at (580) 225-1212. Tips can also be emailed to Captain Sammy Weygand at weygand@elkcity.com
