Weatherford Woman Injured in I-40 Ramp Crash

Custer County, OK – A Weatherford woman was injured Monday evening in a single-vehicle crash on the eastbound on-ramp to Interstate 40 at mile marker 82.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash happened at about 5:05 p.m. when a commercial vehicle driven by 20-year-old Adhara J. Dobbs failed to negotiate a curve on the on-ramp. The truck left the roadway to the right and struck a support structure beneath the I-40 westbound bridge.

Dobbs was the only occupant of the vehicle. Troopers reported she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision and had sustained injuries.

The crash was investigated by Troop H. OHP noted that the information is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation continues.
