Woodward Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash in Dewey County

Dewey County, OK – A Woodward man was hospitalized Sunday evening after a motorcycle crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 270 and State Highway 51 in Dewey County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 70-year-old Dennis G. Roberson was traveling west on State Highway 51 around 5:49 p.m. when his motorcycle left the roadway to the right. Troopers said the motorcycle struck an embankment, throwing Roberson across U.S. 270.

Roberson, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, sustained injuries but survived. He was the only person involved in the accident.

Troopers confirmed Roberson’s next of kin was notified. The collision is under investigation by OHP Troop H.
