Authorities say a homicide investigation led to a lockdown at a western Oklahoma school district on Monday.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) reported that a person was found dead near County Road 200, just west of Vici. In response, Vici Public Schools initiated lockdown procedures after being alerted to the situation. The lockdown was lifted around noon.
OSBI officials confirmed that a person of interest was being questioned, and as of 3 p.m., no suspects were at large. Details about the victim and the investigation have not been released.
