Elk City firefighters, alongside crews from the Berlin Fire Department, responded to a large grass fire west of town near Highway 6 and 1900 Road on Friday afternoon.
Authorities have deemed the fire suspicious in nature, prompting an ongoing investigation. The Beckham County Sheriff’s Office, Roger Mills County Sheriff’s Office, and Oklahoma Highway Patrol are assisting with the inquiry.
