A fatal crash occurred on December 17, 2024, at approximately 8:31 PM on US-270 at South County Road 206, roughly three miles southeast of Woodward in Woodward County.

The collision involved a 1998 Ford F-150 driven by Abraham B. Robledo, 34, of Guymon, Oklahoma. Robledo was transported by Woodward EMS to Integris Health Woodward Hospital, where he was pronounced dead due to injuries sustained in the accident.

Details of the Incident

Authorities reported that Robledo was traveling southeast on US-270 when his vehicle failed to navigate a right-hand curve. The truck veered off the roadway to the left, entering the median. After overcorrecting, the vehicle re-entered the road in the wrong direction before leaving the roadway again to the right. It then entered a broadside skid and overturned one and a half times. Robledo was ejected from the vehicle, which ultimately came to rest upside-down, facing south.

Investigation Ongoing

The condition of the driver and the cause of the collision remain under investigation.

This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of roadway safety and the dangers of losing control on curves. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
