Fatal ATV Accident Claims Life of Seiling Man in Woodward County

A tragic accident occurred on Monday, at approximately 10:30 AM, resulting in the death of an 84-year-old Seiling man. The incident took place near the intersection of South County Road 223 and East County Road 57, about three miles south and eight miles east of Mutual, Oklahoma, in Woodward County.

According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, James William Cole, driving a 2016 Polaris Sportsman ATV, was attempting to pull a tree limb when his ATV’s left tire went off a creek bank. The accident caused Cole to be ejected from the vehicle, resulting in fatal head and internal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Woodward EMS.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision.
