Elk City, OK – Food, fun, and a fair-like atmosphere returned to the west side of Elk City.
The Western Oklahoma Historical Society Flea Market is a fall staple that was recently held for the 53rd time.
Elk City's Ackley Park hosts the annual event the first weekend of October, and this year's installment was October 2, 3, and 4.
A record number of vendors set up in booths to sell antiques, clothes, and collectibles.
Farm implements, tools, yard art, flags, license plates, rugs, jewelry, dishes, purses, toys, and other items were also for sale.
And the masses who showed up hungry for more than just flea-market deals had several food options to choose from while shopping. Food trucks provided hot dogs, corn dogs, nachos, tacos, funnel cakes, ice cream, banana bread, peanut butter balls, and more.
For more than half a century, the Western Oklahoma Historical Society Flea Market has filled Ackley Park the first weekend in October and drawn thousands to Elk City's west side.
