Tulsa, OK – FFA chapters in Burns Flat-Dill, Carnegie, Mountain View-Gotebo, Weatherford, Navajo and Altus are among 16 Oklahoma chapters receiving STEM After-school Grants from the Public Service Company of Oklahoma Foundation for the 2026-27 school year.
The grants will support hands-on student projects involving science, technology, engineering and math, with an emphasis on their applications in agriculture. Projects funded through the program can include animal science, food safety, agricultural technology, school gardens, drone aviation and other STEM-related activities.
The PSO Foundation says the program is designed to encourage curiosity while helping students develop skills that can translate into future careers in agriculture and related industries.
“Opportunities like the PSO Foundation’s STEM After-School Grants allow FFA students to take what they learn in the classroom and apply it to real world challenges,” Oklahoma FFA Foundation Executive Director Jacey Fye said. “These grants give students the resources to explore new ideas, develop valuable skills and see how agriculture and STEM connect to the careers of the future.”
Each recipient chapter will be recognized during upcoming FFA Chapter Officer Leadership Training conferences. Five regional COLT events are scheduled for late August and September.
The STEM After-school Grant program is part of the PSO Foundation’s effort to support academic achievement and workforce development across Oklahoma.
In addition to the western Oklahoma recipients, grants were awarded to FFA chapters in Bartlesville, Antlers, Hugo, Valliant, Wapanucka, Apache, Fletcher, Stigler, Wister, Wister-Howe and Newkirk.
