Fugitive From Texas Arrested In Kiowa County Near Hobart

Hobart, OK – A Texas fugitive wanted on multiple warrants was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Kiowa County following a joint operation involving federal and local law enforcement.

According to the Kiowa County Sheriff's Office, at approximately 1:15 p.m., members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, working alongside deputies with the Kiowa County Sheriff's Office, arrested Ahmael Rodriguez after identifying him near the intersection of U.S. Highway 183 and State Highway 9, 5 miles north of Hobart.

Authorities said a traffic stop was conducted after Rodriguez was identified. He was taken into custody without incident.

Rodriguez was wanted on multiple warrants issued in Texas. Following his arrest, he was transported to the Kiowa County Detention Center, where he is being held pending further proceedings.

No additional information about the Texas warrants had been released as of press time.
