Custer County, OK – A two vehicle collision on Interstate 40 east of Foss Friday afternoon resulted in one passenger being injured, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at approximately 12:49 p.m. on Friday, June 26, near mile marker 57 on eastbound I-40, about two miles east of Foss in Custer County.
Troopers reported that a vehicle driven by 66 year old Rose M. Nice of Kingfisher was traveling eastbound in the outside lane when it changed lanes without sufficient clearance. The rear bumper of Nice's vehicle struck the front bumper of a vehicle driven by 22 year old Robert Hester of Townsend, Tennessee, who was traveling in the inside lane.
Hester brought his vehicle to a controlled stop following the collision.
Neither driver was injured. One passenger riding in Nice's vehicle sustained injuries. The extent of those injuries was not released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Both vehicles had one passenger, and all occupants were reported to have been wearing seat belts. No fatalities were reported.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigated the collision.
