Weatherford, OK – Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) has selected Zadyn Johnson of Camargo, Oklahoma, as the Charlie M. & Olivia Downs Abercrombie Scholar for the 2025- 2026 academic year.
Johnson is a junior majoring in Early Childhood Education.
The late Charles Abercrombie of Amarillo, Texas, and his wife, Mary Campbell Abercrombie, established the scholarship fund in 2015 in memory of Charles's parents to benefit deserving students from southwest Oklahoma majoring in Education at SWOSU.
The Charlie M. & Olivia Downs Abercrombie Scholarship Fund is stewarded by the SWOSU Foundation, Inc. The Foundation was established in 1977 to promote philanthropy, award scholarships, and distribute funds to support the activities and programs of SWOSU.
