Weatherford, OK – Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) alumni and friends gathered on April 27, 2026, for the annual SWOSU Everett Dobson Golf Classic. Held at the prestigious Oak Tree National Golf Course in Edmond, the sold-out tournament raised just over $107,000 to support SWOSU Men’s and Women’s Golf programs and other Bulldog athletic programs.

Established in 2015, this popular philanthropic event was initiated by Everett Dobson (SWOSU Class of 1981 & 1999 Distinguished Alumnus) of Edmond in partnership with the SWOSU Athletic Association.

Dobson has endowed the Everett Dobson Chairs in Business, Marketing, Management, and Finance in the Everett Dobson College of Business & Technology at SWOSU and provided the private investment necessary to construct the Everett Dobson Golf Training Facility on SWOSU’s Weatherford campus. In 2015, Dobson was inducted into the SWOSU Presidential Order of Merit in recognition of his 25 years of service on the SWOSU Foundation, Inc. Board of Trustees, where he served as Investment Committee Chairman.

In addition to numerous hole sponsors, the following generous major sponsors made the 2026 Dobson Golf Classic possible:

  • Title Sponsor: Dobson Fiber

  • Driving Range Sponsor: Ram Jack Systems Distribution

  • Food & Beverage Sponsor: Helios Injection Systems

  • Breakfast Sponsor: ASAP Energy, Inc.

  • Gift Sponsor: PC Promotions

  • Cart Sponsors: Great Plains Bank, Moran Equipment, SGS, LLC.

  • Putting Green Sponsors: 3 Sons Vending, FanPledge Fundraising, Geotrestec, Great Plains Kubota, Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance, The Shimmy Shack, Wright Media

  • Auction Sponsor: Corky Heard with United Country Heard Auction

We are incredibly grateful to Mr. Everett Dobson, the many sponsors, and participants who made this year’s Dobson Golf Classic a success,” said SWOSU Athletic Director Todd Helton. “Their continued support directly impacts our student-athletes and allows our programs to thrive both on and off the field.”

The SWOSU Dobson Golf Classic is hosted by the SWOSU Foundation, Inc., and remains a cornerstone event supporting Bulldog Athletics. For more information about supporting SWOSU Athletics, visit www.GivetoSWOSUAthletics.com or contact the SWOSU Foundation at 580-774-3267.
