Weatherford, OK – The Southwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation, Incorporated (SWOSUF) hosted its first-ever Chairman’s Tower Shoot recently. The premium event was organized to benefit scholarships for SWOSU students from southwest Oklahoma.

We are deeply grateful to the sponsors and shooters who so generously participated in our first Tower Shoot and made the event such a success,” said SWOSUF Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mr. Michael D. Hart, ’06, of Edmond. “Over $60,000 was raised and we look forward to next year’s gathering.”

In addition to generous underwriting support from M&M Hart Consulting, Incorporated and King Legal PLLC, this year’s Shoot was generously sponsored by:

  • Hilliary Communications, the event’s Host Sponsor. Hilliary is a family-owned telecommunications company with deep Oklahoma roots and a bold vision: to bring world-class broadband to rural communities throughout Oklahoma and the wider region. Hilliary provides service to thousands of customers across homes, businesses, schools, tribal nations, healthcare facilities, and rural enterprises.

  • Magill Insurance & Real Estate, the event’s Gift Sponsor. Magill has served the needs of customers throughout western Oklahoma since 1971 when it was established by R. Bruce Magill, ’70. Today, the agency is led by Bruce's son, Wes Magill, and his wife, Karen (Ashworth) Magill, ’01.

  • PC Promotions, the event’s Gear Sponsor. PC Promotions has provided its clients with services that enhance brand awareness with personal attention and creative solutions since the company was established in 2001 by Jody Cunningham, ’86.

The Shoot was held at Black Oak Farms in Devol, Oklahoma. The event included two rounds of elite pheasant shooting featuring a 10-station ring and 250 pheasants presenting challenging, high, over-the-head shots from a tower modeled after the classic London club style. Lunch was served between rounds.
