SWOSU Names Dr. Jerry G. Nye Memorial Scholars

Weatherford, OK – Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) has selected the Dr. Jerry G. Nye Memorial Scholarship recipients for the 2025- 2026 academic year.

Makinly Raulston is a senior from Elk City, Oklahoma. Grayson Williams is a senior from Claremore, Oklahoma. Both students are pursuing degrees in English Education.

The Dr. Jerry G. Nye Memorial Scholarship honors the late Dr. Jerry Nye, who was an admired and much-loved professor and department chair for nearly half a century.

The Dr. Jerry G. Nye Memorial Scholarship Fund is stewarded by the SWOSU Foundation, Inc. The Foundation was established in 1977 to promote philanthropy, award scholarships, and distribute funds to support the activities and programs of SWOSU. For more information about the Dr. Jerry G.
