Elk City Firefighters Contain Residential Blaze on South Oliver

Elk City, OK — Elk City firefighters responded Tuesday evening to a reported residential structure fire in the 900 block of South Oliver.

Engine 3 and Engine 1 arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the home. Crews from C Shift quickly began a coordinated fire attack while also conducting a primary search of the residence.

All occupants had safely exited the home before firefighters arrived on scene. Crews were able to bring the fire under control within minutes. Damage was contained to a bedroom and adjacent hallway area where the fire is believed to have originated.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
