50th Annual Roman Nose Hills Trail Ride
The Roman Nose Hills Trail Ride returns September 25-27 for its 50th year near Roman Nose State Park in Watonga, Oklahoma. Known as Oklahoma's premier pleasure ride, the event gives horseback riders an opportunity to experience scenic trails overlooking the park and surrounding lakes.
Guided Trail Rides Near Roman Nose State Park
Guided trail rides are scheduled Friday through Sunday from the campground at Wolfe Ranch. This year's event features 50% new trails, giving returning riders even more of the Roman Nose Hills area to explore. Riders must bring their own horse and provide a current negative Coggins.
Meals, Entertainment and More in Watonga
Paid riders receive seven hot meals during the event along with opportunities for free raffle giveaways. Entertainment and an auction are also planned as part of the weekend. The 50th Roman Nose Hills Trail Ride benefits the Watonga Kiwanis and celebrates America's 250th birthday.
Roman Nose Hills Trail Ride Registration
Call-in registration is encouraged before the event. Rider admission is $85, with a $50 rate for riders age 12 and under. Registration accepts cash or checks, and credit cards are not accepted.
