Honoring Veterans and Celebrating America at Foss Lake

The 36th Annual Foss Lake Christmas in July is one of Western Oklahoma's favorite summer traditions. This year's celebration pays tribute to veterans and military members while commemorating America's 250th anniversary. Friday evening includes the Opening Ceremony, Veteran Recognition, and a Flag Retirement Ceremony led by special guest Brigadier General Colby Wyatt of the Oklahoma National Guard.

A Full Weekend of Family Fun

Saturday's activities begin with the 5K Dam Run and continue throughout the day with Disc Golf Doubles, the Kayak Fun Paddle, Liberty, Land & Lake Rally Poker Run, Duct Tape Boat Race, and the First Responders Water Fight. Families can also enjoy food vendors, shopping vendors, and activities around Foss State Park.

Live Music and Fireworks

The celebration wraps up Saturday evening with a free street dance featuring the Dean Jackson Band at Cedar Point Circle, followed by a spectacular fireworks display at dark. The band returns to the stage after the fireworks to close out the evening.
